The green consists of six bowling rinks, The clubhouse contains all of the facilities a modern bowls club needs - a dining area, bar and kitchen, two changing rooms and toilets.

Holwell Sports Bowls Club is located approximately 3 miles outside Melton Mowbray off the A6006 Loughborough road. At the first roundabout, turn right (third exit). Take the first left, then immediately right, to the car parking area. The bowls club is through the gate to the football club and then right.

The club hosts a full range of fixtures. They play in National, County and District competitions, plus an extensive programme of ladies', men's and mixed friendly matches. They have a number of social games – fish & chip nights etc. and commemorative matches plus the full range of club competitions.

A regular feature of each season is a Presidential Tour.  There are different levels of membership, full, social (non-playing) and junior.
